Mission Statement
The Moonlight Cultural Foundation is a non-profit organization of passionate volunteers dedicated to sharing, supporting and enhancing the theatrical experience in San Diego North County.

History of the Moonlight Cultural Foundation
Moonlight Cultural Foundation, a non-profit organization, was formed in 1974 under the leadership of Frank Tiesen with the mission of working together with citizens in the community to assure a pleasant and rewarding future for the community. Its first official role was as custodian of funds for the construction of an amphitheatre in Brengle Terrace Park in 1975, as a bicentennial gift to the city. It was dedicated on July 4, 1976. The Foundation has continued to assist with the development of the Moonlight Amphitheatre and in 2010 paid for the state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment at the newly renovated Amphitheatre.
